This General Terms of Use & Privacy Policy and its Addendum(s) describe how HICH Inc, its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, associated companies and jointly controlled entities (collectively "HICH", "we", "us" or "our") collect, use, process and disclose your Personal Data through the use of HICH's mobile applications and websites (respectively "Apps" and "Websites"), as well as products, features and other services globally, operated by HICH (collectively, "Services").
This Policy applies to our customers, passengers, agents, vendors, suppliers, partners (such as driver and merchant partners), contractors and service providers (collectively "you", "your" or "yours").
"Personal Data" is any information which can be used to identify you or from which you are identifiable. This includes but is not limited to your name, nationality, telephone number, bank and credit card details, personal interests, email address, your image, government-issued identification numbers, biometric data, race, date of birth, marital status, religion, health information, vehicle and insurance information, employment information and financial information.
By using the HICH platform you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the terms of this document, the Mobile Application Driver License Agreement (if you are a driver), any other policies, rules or guidelines implemented by HICH, and all applicable laws and regulations.
Accessing HICH Services
Creating and Maintaining an Account
To use most features of HICH, users must first create and maintain an active personal account ("Account"). Unless otherwise specified, you must be at least 18 years old — or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction if higher — to sign up. Each individual is permitted only one Account, which is non-transferable. Duplicate accounts may be removed or disabled by HICH at our discretion.
You are fully responsible for any actions taken under your Account and agree to keep your login credentials secure and confidential. HICH may deny access or disable your Account if we determine that it has been compromised, used fraudulently, remains inactive for a prolonged period, or was created in violation of our policies or applicable law.
When registering, you may be required to provide accurate personal details including your full name, a current photo, address, phone number, date of birth, and a valid payment method. If identity or age verification fails or is refused, we may restrict your access to the platform.
By registering, you also agree that your mobile carrier may share limited information about your device and account with us or our partners, strictly for identity verification and fraud prevention.
Minors
Accounts are intended for use by adults. You may not allow individuals under the age of 18 to use your Account unless they are directly supervised by you or another responsible adult. In the future, we may offer features that allow parents or legal guardians to create accounts for minors. Any incidents involving minors may be reported to the appropriate authorities in accordance with legal and safety obligations.
Network Access and Device Compatibility
You are responsible for ensuring you have an internet connection and a compatible device to use HICH. Your carrier's data and messaging fees may apply when using the app. HICH is not liable for any consequences arising from technical interruptions, including delays, failed requests, or resulting loss or damage.
Collection of Personal Data
We collect Personal Data about you in the ways listed below. We may also combine the collected Personal Data with other Personal Data in our possession.
You Provide Your Personal Data to Us
We collect your Personal Data when you voluntarily provide it to us — for example, when you complete a user profile or registration forms; provide information to assess your eligibility to provide services as a HICH driver partner; interact with our social media pages; participate in contests or events; verify your identity; fill up demographic information in surveys; or agree to take a ride with in-vehicle audio and/or video recording features.
When Our Services Are Used
Personal Data may be collected through the normal operation of our Apps, Websites and Services. This includes your location, feedback and ratings, transaction information, device information, messages sent via in-app communication features, and personal data captured through in-vehicle audio and/or video recording during a ride.
From Other Sources
We may collect Personal Data from referral programmes; business partners such as fleet partners, payment providers and transport partners; insurance and financial providers; credit bureaus; publicly available sources; governmental sources; and marketing services providers.
Personal Data About Driver Partners
If you are a driver partner, we may collect telematics data (speed, acceleration, braking data); device data (accelerometer data, GPS location, IMEI number); your vehicle registration data; and personal data captured through in-vehicle recordings.
Sensitive Personal Data
Some Personal Data we collect is sensitive in nature — including data pertaining to race, national ID information, religious beliefs, background information, health data, disability, marital status, and biometric data. We collect this information only with your consent and/or in strict compliance with applicable laws.
Personal Data of Minors
As a parent or legal guardian, please do not allow minors under your care to submit Personal Data to HICH. If such Personal Data is disclosed, you hereby consent to its processing and accept responsibility for the minor's actions.
Use of Personal Data
HICH may use, combine and process your Personal Data for the following purposes:
- Providing services and features — to provide, personalise, maintain and improve our Apps, Websites and Services; verify identity and age; process payments; track trip progress; enable communications between users; and process promotions and rewards.
- Safety and security — to screen driver partners; identify unsafe driving behaviour; verify identity at login; prevent, detect and combat fraud; and detect, prevent and prosecute crime.
- Customer support — to investigate concerns, monitor support responses, respond to feedback, and inform you of steps taken to resolve issues.
- Research and development — for testing, analysis and product development to understand needs, improve safety, develop new features and facilitate insurance solutions.
- Legal purposes — to investigate and resolve claims, comply with court orders or legal requirements, and protect our rights or property.
- Marketing and promotions — to send alerts, newsletters, updates, promotional materials and event invitations via post, telephone, SMS, email or push notification. You may unsubscribe at any time via the relevant email or app settings.
Disclosure of Personal Data
We need to share Personal Data with various parties for the Purposes described above. These parties include other users (e.g. drivers and riders sharing relevant trip details); HICH partners at your request; the owner of HICH accounts you may use; our subsidiaries and affiliates; service providers and business partners (payment processors, debt collectors, cloud storage providers, marketing partners, analytics providers, insurance partners, etc.); and legal advisors and governmental authorities when required by law or in emergency situations.
Retention of Personal Data
We retain your Personal Data for the period necessary to fulfill the Purposes outlined in this Policy unless a longer retention period is required or allowed by law. Once no longer necessary, we take steps to erase, destroy, anonymise or prevent access to such Personal Data.
International Transfers
Your Personal Data may be transferred from your Home Country to an Alternate Country. We will comply with all legal and regulatory obligations, including having a lawful basis for transfer and putting appropriate safeguards in place to ensure adequate protection.
Cookies and Advertising
HICH and third-party partners may use cookies, web beacons, advertising identifiers and similar technology in connection with your use of the Websites and Apps. You may deactivate cookies by adjusting your internet browser settings, or limit sharing via your App settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads).
Protection of Personal Data
We will take reasonable legal, organisational and technical measures to ensure that your Personal Data is protected. This includes measures to prevent Personal Data from getting lost, or used or accessed in an unauthorised way. We limit access to your Personal Data to our employees on a need-to-know basis.
Nevertheless, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee the security of your Personal Data transmitted through any online means, and any transmission remains at your own risk.
Your Rights With Respect to Your Personal Data
In accordance with applicable laws and regulations, you may be entitled to:
- Ask us about the processing of your Personal Data, including to be provided with a copy
- Request the correction and/or deletion of your Personal Data
- Request the restriction of processing, or object to processing
- Withdraw your consent to the processing of your Personal Data
- Request receipt or transmission to another organisation of your Personal Data (data portability)
- Complain to the relevant data privacy authority if your rights are violated

Amendments and Updates
HICH shall have the right to modify, update or amend the terms of this Policy at any time by placing the updated Policy on the Websites. By continuing to use our Services following such modifications, you signify your acceptance.

HICH for Business — What Personal Data Is Collected, Processed and Disclosed
HICH for Business is an add-on feature that facilitates corporate billing for Authorised Users' use of HICH's Services in the course of work. When an organisation ("Client") uses HICH for Business, the Authorised User may tag rides to the Client or as personal rides.
What HICH Collects
In order to provide the HICH for Business feature, HICH collects: full name; business email address; and other identifying information as reasonably requested.
What HICH Discloses to Its Clients
HICH will disclose relevant trip and booking information to the Client to facilitate Corporate Billing. HICH does not disclose other Personal Data of Authorised Users to the Client.
Parties' Obligations
Both the Client and HICH shall individually inform their data subjects of how each processes Personal Data; comply with applicable data protection laws; obtain necessary consents; and implement appropriate legal, technical and organisational measures to protect Personal Data.
Refund Policy
HICH is a platform that connects the community to complete trips booked by a rider and accepted by a driver within the app. As a rider, you own the decision to take a trip or not.
When You May Be Eligible for a Refund
- A fare or fee was charged in error or your trip experienced a technical issue
- Your trip price was significantly higher than the estimate shown before booking, not due to added stops or a changed destination
- Your trip was not completed within a reasonable walking distance to your requested destination
- You or the intended rider did not take the trip or there are other fraud concerns
When You Are Not Eligible for a Refund
- An issue related to vehicle quality or type of vehicle dispatched
- An issue with a driver not meeting your quality expectations
- An issue caused by user error, like requesting the wrong vehicle type
- An on-trip delay or routing issue due to uncontrollable events (traffic, construction) or a price change due to adding/removing stops or updating your destination after the trip began
Resolving Your Request
You can submit a request for a refund or complaint to our customer service team at info@hichmn.com or in the app within 30 days of encountering an issue. If eligible, refunds will be returned to your original payment method within 3–5 business days, depending on your bank.
Community Guidelines
For Riders
At HICH, we believe every ride should be safe, respectful, and welcoming. Riders are expected to treat drivers and fellow passengers with courtesy, respect personal space, and avoid any discriminatory, abusive, or inappropriate behavior. Safety is our top priority — threatening, violent, or unlawful actions will not be tolerated.
Riders must also provide accurate information when booking rides and respect the property of drivers and others. Fraudulent activities — including using fake accounts, credit or debit cards not registered to you, false claims, or payment disputes without valid reasons — are strictly prohibited and may result in permanent loss of access to the HICH platform.
For Drivers
HICH drivers are trusted partners and role models within our community. Drivers are expected to offer a professional, safe, and respectful experience for every rider, ensuring clean vehicles, sober driving, and a discrimination-free environment.
Maintaining honesty is critical — all trip information must be accurately represented, and fraudulent activities such as intentionally manipulating trips, accounts, or earnings are strictly forbidden. Any acts of fraud or violations of safety, respect, or other legal standards can lead to account deactivation and possible legal consequences.
Deleting Your Account
We respect your privacy and provide you with full control over your data. If at any point you wish to delete your account, you can do so using one of the following methods:
1. Deleting Your Account via Web
Visit our dedicated account deletion page at: https://hichmnadmin.hichappet.com/delete-account
Enter your registered email address and phone number. After verifying the details, submit the request. You will receive a confirmation once the process is complete.
2. Deleting Your Account via Mobile App
- Open the app and log in to your account
- Tap the menu icon to open the left-hand navigation menu
- Navigate to the Profile section
- Scroll to the bottom and tap the Delete Account button
- Confirm your action when prompted
Driver Payouts
At HICH, we believe drivers should be paid reliably, transparently, and on time. All driver earnings are processed through weekly direct deposits.
Bank Account Setup
To receive earnings, every HICH driver must link a valid bank account via the HICH Driver App:
- Open the HICH Driver App
- Tap Payment in the bottom menu
- In the lower-left corner, tap the green "+" (Plus) icon
- Enter your bank account number and routing number
- Review your information carefully, then tap Save
Automated Weekly Payouts
HICH processes all driver earnings once a week. Payouts are calculated based on the rides completed from Monday 4:00 AM to Monday 3:59 AM (local time). Payments are automatically deposited to your linked bank account every Monday morning. Depending on your bank's processing times, funds may reflect in your account within 2–3 business days.
Viewing Earnings
- Open the HICH Driver App
- Navigate to Earnings/Wallet in the top of the map screen
- Review past and current earnings, trip-by-trip breakdowns, and payout summaries
Troubleshooting Payout Issues
If you experience any issues (missed payments, bank rejections), please confirm your bank account details are correct in the app, allow up to 3 business days for bank processing, then contact HICH Support through the app or at info@hichmn.com.
Taxes and Documentation
HICH does not deduct taxes from your earnings. As an independent contractor, you are responsible for reporting your income and filing any necessary tax documents. At year-end, HICH may provide a tax summary or applicable tax forms based on your jurisdiction and earnings threshold.
Special Ride Requests (Pets, Children, Luggage & More)
HICH understands that riders may occasionally have special needs, such as traveling with pets, minors who require a car seat, or heavy luggage. Not all drivers may be able to accommodate these requests. To ensure a smooth experience for both riders and drivers:
- Disclosure Required: Any special request — such as bringing a pet or traveling with a child who requires a car seat — must be clearly mentioned in the "Notes" section when booking the ride.
- Driver Confirmation: After being matched with a driver, riders must immediately contact the driver to confirm whether the special request can be accommodated.
- No-Fee Cancellations: If the driver is unable or unwilling to fulfill the special request, riders may cancel the ride without incurring a cancellation fee — as long as they contacted the driver promptly after matching.
- Failure to Notify: If a rider fails to notify the driver in advance and the driver arrives at pickup only to find the request cannot be fulfilled, a cancellation fee may apply.
Wheelchair-Accessible Vehicles (WAV)
HICH does not offer WAV services but has listed local companies on the app that provide WAV service. To find out more, please select the WAV option on your HICH Rider App. If you require an accessible ride, please contact one of the listed providers directly to arrange your trip.
